Meeting the public on World Heart Day
29.09.2026
On 29 September, to mark World Heart Day, the CHUV Cardiology Service organised a public conference at Beaulieu in Lausanne dedicated to myocardial infarction and its prevention.
During this event, open to the general public, several cardiologists, researchers and healthcare professionals, including members of the SwissCardIA team, shared their expertise on different aspects of cardiovascular prevention. The presentations covered how to recognise and treat myocardial infarction, how cardiovascular risk factors affect health, and the role of cholesterol, nutrition, high blood pressure and physical activity in cardiovascular prevention.
The conference was followed by a discussion with the audience, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions directly to the specialists, before the evening concluded with an informal reception.
The event offered an opportunity to make the latest scientific knowledge accessible to everyone and to raise awareness of how to protect cardiovascular health over the long term.
